Customers in New Jersey can acquire the In-Home Learning System utilizing Career Advancement Vouchers. Eligibility requirements include: post TANF, 250% of federal poverty level, employed, and interested in career advancement.
CAV participants receive a computer and Internet access in their home, which they use to access the online learning community and its library of distance learning courses including ABE, GED, career courses and soft skills.
Case Managers stay in contact with achievers through the automated work hours reporting system and advocacy notification system. Training that is available "just-in-time" and aligned with career goals improves retention, wages and advancement opportunities. Participation time is tracked and reported automatically. The program is available in English and Spanish.
