With both Core and Non-Core activities available on the web site, online community participants suffer less sanctions and regularly meet participation. PC ownership is used as the incentive to participate, become employed, report work hours and retain their employment. The In-Home Learning System is an ACF TANF toolkit program for Work Attachment and Work Readiness: http://peerta.acf.hhs.gov/upitoolkit/worka/readiness/businessaccess/overview.cfm
All participants are assigned an off-line mentor. Case Managers stay in contact with achievers through the automated work hours reporting system and advocacy notification system. Training that is available "just-in-time" and aligned with career goals improves retention, wages, and advancement opportunities. Participation time is tracked and reported automatically. The program is available in English and Spanish. More information about using the In-Home Learning System for TANF participation.
