Louisiana introduces In-Home Learning System pilot at state meeting in Alexandria

As workforce officials from around the state of Louisiana gathered to strategize in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, they reviewed the In-Home Learning System as a method of delivering training options to those citizens who are trying to rebuild their lives.

Earlier in the year, officials from Texas traveled to Louisiana to share best practices and services being used in Texas for hurricane evacuees - one of which was the In-Home Learning System.

The system offers Louisiana a way to serve thousands of customers by providing training and job search assistance through computers and the Internet -- especially important to those areas that sustained damage to their One Stop Centers.
